Oven Gloves

An oven glove, or oven mitt, is a insulated glove or mitten usually worn in the kitchen to protect the wearer's hand from hot objects such as ovens, stoves, cookware, etc.

Fabric gloves consist of heat insulation surrounded by cotton fabric, usually consisting of decorative patterns. Newer oven gloves are often made from silicone instead of fabric, which makes them resistant to water and stains. Newer fabric gloves are made of Kevlar and Nomex.

An oven mitten is often sold singly rather than in a pair, and can usually be worn on either hand.
